Summary of September 14, 2009 Steering Committee Meeting

- There is an encouraging increase in party bank balance.
- The Charleston County Green Party is accepted as official and organized local chapter.
- Steering Committee Officers elected: Gregg Jocoy and Sue Edward are Co-Chairs, David Whiteman is re-elected as Treasurer, Scott West is Secretary.
- a Coordinating Committee meeting will be held in Columbia on Second Saturday, November 14 from 1 – 3 PM at the Read Street Community Center.
- 2010 nominating convention planned for Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 10 AM - 6 PM. Location TBD.
- Candidate recruitment is actively ongoing with some encouraging developments.
- The appeal of Eugene Platt's 2008 fusion case to the 4th Circuit will proceed shortly. The case looks good.
- Volunteer attorney working with SC members on challenge to Duke rate increase.
